Menu Chains respects the rights of restaurant owners, brands, photographers and other creators. This page explains how we treat intellectual property and how you can ask us to remove or correct something.
What we publish
Menu Chains is an independent guide. We list menu item names, descriptions and prices because they are facts that help people choose where to eat, and we say where each page’s information came from and when it was checked. We do not copy restaurant photographs, logos or marketing material without permission, and brand names and logos belong to their owners. We use a restaurant’s name only to identify that restaurant, and this does not suggest any partnership or endorsement.
How to send a copyright notice
If you believe something on Menu Chains infringes your copyright, email info@menuchains.com with the subject line “Copyright notice” and include:
- The web address (URL) of the page on Menu Chains that contains the material.
- A description of the work you say has been copied, and where the original appears.
- Your full name, your role (for example, owner or authorised agent) and your contact details.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We aim to review every complete notice within five business days. If we agree that content should be removed, we remove it promptly and tell you what we did. Incomplete notices may take longer because we may need to ask you for more information.
If your content was removed by mistake
If you believe we removed content by mistake, send a counter-notice to the same address with the page URL, a description of what was removed, a statement that you believe the removal was a mistake, and your contact details. We will review it and, where appropriate, restore the content.
Restaurants and brands: corrections and removal requests
You do not need to make a copyright claim to ask us to update a page. Restaurant owners and brand teams can ask us to correct a price, update hours, fix a description or remove a page. Use our corrections form or email info@menuchains.com, tell us which page you mean, and where possible link to your official menu so we can check it. We treat requests from the venue itself as a priority.
Repeat infringement
We may restrict or remove content connected to people who repeatedly submit infringing material to us.
