We want everyone to be able to find restaurant menus and prices on Menu Chains, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, voice control or zoom. This statement describes what we do and where we are still improving.
Our approach
- We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
- Pages use a clear heading structure, so you can jump between sections with a screen reader or the on-page links.
- Images have descriptive alternative text, and decorative images are marked so they are skipped.
- Text colours are chosen for strong contrast against their backgrounds, and links are clearly styled.
- The site works with a keyboard alone, with visible focus outlines on links and buttons.
- Menus and tables adapt to small screens, and wide tables scroll sideways without breaking the layout.
- The site respects the “reduce motion” setting on your device.
Known limitations
- Some menu descriptions come from third-party listings and may use abbreviations or formatting we cannot always improve.
- Some pages may still need extra alternative text or heading fixes. We review pages regularly and fix issues as we find them.
Tell us about a problem
If you find something on Menu Chains that is hard to use, email info@menuchains.com with the page address and what happened. Please mention the device, browser and any assistive technology you use if you can. We aim to reply within five business days and to fix issues as quickly as we reasonably can.
